New York is an art lover's wet dream. It's arguably the center of the cultural universe. There is no shortage of opportunities to get one's "artistic fix." In this post, I will let you decide the winner between the fame of MoMA to the freshness of Chelsea's famed galleries. Both offer something similar, but quite different. It's clear that the loser is still a winner, and either a day spent at the MoMA or on the streets of Chelsea beat most places in the world hands down.

Central American Backdrop + Caribbean Charm

Belize is an unique travel destination. The combination of daydream waters and Barrier Reef, English as an official language, accessibility and climate of Central America combine to make a must visit. A sovereign nation from Britain in 1989, the country combines a Caribbean Island feel with the uniqueness of a Central American country. Mayan ruins, some of the best diving in the world and mouth watering El Salvadorian food are selling points. A beautiful and rich culture and people make any traveler considering cancelling their return ticket.

Living in New York, or anywhere, can distract us from the moment. Belize allowed me, and I hope it does everyone, a chance to reflect on what is important in life, staying in the moment, discovery, adventure and novelty. Two of my friends got certified to scuba dive (I've logged over 200 at this point), but their excitement was contagious. I think we all often forget that there is truly so much left in life to discover. Enjoy the pictures.
